When you sleep, your brainwaves enter a state that allows your body to regenerate cells, get rid of toxins and heal itself. Lindsay helps guide you into a state of deep relaxation that replicates those same brainwave patterns. This helps lower stress hormones, raise "feel good" hormones, and leaves you feeling lighter, happier and balanced! This benefits you mentally, physically and spiritually.
A sound bath is a form of meditation Lindsay offers that is a full-body listening experience that “bathes” you in resonant sound waves using various instruments like singing bowls, chimes, quartz pyramids (and more). It uses techniques of sound, vibration, and intention to gently transition you from your normal waking state of consciousness (beta brain waves) to a highly relaxed state of consciousness (alpha, theta and delta brain waves). These are the same brain waves that allow your body to heal and regenerate at night as you sleep. In this relaxed state, your own body's innate healing abilities are able to work more effectively to bring you into balance, enhancing your overall health and well-being.
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It's based on the idea that you are made of energy (vibrating atoms) and everything around you is made of energy (vibrating atoms), all vibrating at different levels causing different states of existence. It's what causes you to be alive. This energy can also be referred to as the "life force energy". Just like a battery, your "life force energy" can begin to run low from time to time. When this happens you are more likely to feel stress or get sick. When your battery is full, you are more capable of being happy and healthy. As a trained Reiki practitioner, Lindsay helps harness that unseen "life force energy" from everything around us and guides it to flow into you, recharging your battery. This is accomplished by hovering her hands over specific points on your body. Reiki complements Western medicine and is now offered in many hospitals and medical facilities, to assist healing and recovery.
Crystal healing is a holistic and natural therapy that taps into the energetic power of crystals and how they affect the body and mind. During a crystal therapy session, Lindsay will place healing crystals on or around you to help unblock, focus and direct energy. Just like with Reiki, crystal healing is an energy-based system. This means it is based on the belief that we are all made up of different energies and that when this becomes stagnant, unbalanced, or blocked, it can cause illness. The premise is that crystals help unblock, balance, and direct energy where it is most needed, gently supporting the body to heal in a therapeutic way. Different types of crystals are thought to have different properties and energies. Just holding and being near these crystals is, therefore, thought to affect your own energies on a physical, spiritual, and emotional level.
Guided meditation is simply "meditation with the help of a guide". It’s one of the easiest ways to enter into a state of deep relaxation and inner stillness, and it’s one of the most powerful ways to eliminate stress and bring about positive personal changes. Because the mind has a tendency to wander where it will, many find it easier to focus and relax when their minds aren’t entirely left to their own devices. Especially when starting out in the meditation world, having Lindsay lead you through various forms of meditations is a great way to stay focused. Even seasoned meditators can benefit from guided meditation, as we are all still human and our minds can easily wander.

Private Session: Can pay before or on the day of your session.
Group Session: All guests must pay in full at least 7 days before session date. If you'd like to work out your guests paying you, the host, directly instead of us directly, the bulk sum from you, the host, would need to be paid directly to us at least 7 days before the session date as well.
Come with a sense of curiosity and an open mind. Be ready to relax and devote this time entirely to you. With that in mind, we ask that cell phones be turned to silent/airplane mode during the session.

We will work together prior to the session to determine the number of guests you're hosting and which modalities you're interested in experiencing. This will determine the outline of your event.

For locations beyond a 20 minute drive of Cottonwood Heights, a travel fee applies based on time and cost of Lindsay's travel. This fee is dependant upon location, so reach out to her for details.

Yes. We do ask for shoes to be removed before we begin so the energy can freely flow (you can keep on socks).
Must be 18 or older unless accompanied by a guardian. That would mean if a parent wanted to book a session for their child, they would be booking a private session for the both of them, with the per person price associated for each of you.
There can be a total of 2 people to be considered a Private Session, both paying the per person price.
Private Session: There can be 2 people total (including children) to be considered a Private Session. You will need to still pay the per person price for your child if they attend. If you'd like to reschedule your session to a more convenient time, please reach out to Lindsay.
Group Session: Unless it is a session booked for your family or specifically meant to be a kid Group Session set by the host, we would suggest to keep with the integrity of the environment the host intended for the event. If it's adults only, please respect the intent of your host and not bring children. We understand unexpected issues come up, so please contact Lindsay for reimbursement should one arise (please see rescheduling or cancelling details below).
Rescheduling: We understand unexpected issues come up, so we would love to work with you on rescheduling your event! Just reach out to Lindsay and we will work together to come up with the perfect date! Please be respectful of our time and let us know with plenty of advance warning that you'd like to reschedule.
Should your event have to be rescheduled more than twice, we will consider it a "cancelled event" and have you contact us and re-book once your schedule is more firm. This will incur the same 25% cancellation fee as in the "Last-Minute Cancelling" section below. (See for more details.)
Cancelling up to 7 days before event date: While we would still love to be part of your event, we understand things come up and are happy to refund you and your guests in full if you cancel with at least 7 day's notice.
Last-Minute Cancelling (with 6 or less days until event date): Due to the time we spend coordinating, preparing for the event and the income lost that could have been generated from other clients booking during that time slot, we charge the host a cancellation fee. Should you need to cancel your event last-minute (with 6 or less day's notice), we charge the host 25% of what the combined guest income would have been. (Example: The event was supposed to be the host plus 5 of their friends. The total income for that event would have been $55 x 6 people = $330 event income. The cancellation fee to the host in this example would be $82.50). The cancellation fee is to be paid by the host in full before we will refund your guests. Once the cancellation fee is paid, we will refund your guests in full.
Some people feel peace and joy, some feel emotional, and others feel nothing too different besides being more relaxed. We are all at different places in our lives and our minds and body's process things differently. Whatever you feel, it is exactly what you need. Over the next few days following a session, up your water intake, avoid alcohol, caffeine and sugar. There may be toxins trying to work their way out of your body and this will help with that process. You could also experience and feel a variety of different things. This can include (but not limited to) some tiredness, vivid dreams, and different sensations in your body. If you experience any of these, they are temporary and should subside as time goes on. If there is anything that seems totally off, please consult with your doctor.
As a Sound and Energy Healing Facilitator, Lindsay Strain with Harmony Within is not a licensed health professional. As such, she will not diagnose, prescribe substances, perform medical treatment, or interfere with the treatment of qualified physicians or other licensed medical professionals. The services she offers are considered complementary to traditional Western medical practices.
Lindsay’s intent and purpose is simply to provide a safe space for you to experience relaxation, prompting healing through your own natural processes. She considers the use of sound, energy, guided meditation, herbs, essential oils, crystals and any other natural healing modality as a way to encourage relaxation, helping your body’s own innate healing abilities to take place. She makes no claims for medicinal actions, nor cites any scientific evidence. Any information offered is done so on the basis of personal experience and traditional uses.
Please inform Lindsay if you have metal inside your body (i.e. screws/hardware from surgeries), suffered recent concussion, have a pacemaker, use an insulin pump, and the like. Please let her know any other questions or concerns you may have before the session begins.
The United States of America currently has no licensing policy in regard to Sound or Energy Healing. It is always Linday’s recommendation to seek out the advice of a licensed healthcare professional whenever you feel it is necessary in regards to your own personal health, especially with serious conditions.
